From Dublin: By Air The cheapest way is probably to fly from Dublin to Birmingham with Ryanair or Aerlingus. (if you book early, otherwise it might be very expensive), By Ferry / Car Using the ferry from Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead with Stena Line who offer and a Sail & train option.
